Terms & Condition

1. Services

KJS Homecare Professional Cleaning Services (“KJS Homecare”, “we”, “us”) provides residential and commercial cleaning services as agreed at the time of booking. Services are delivered in accordance with these Terms & Conditions and the Client Policies & Procedures.

2. Bookings

All bookings are made in advance and are reserved specifically for the client. By making a booking, the client agrees to these Terms & Conditions and the Client Policies & Procedures.

3. Cancellation & Rescheduling

Cancellations and rescheduling are subject to the following notice periods, calculated from the scheduled service start time:

• 48 hours or more: no fee applies.

• Between 24 and 48 hours: 50% of the scheduled service fee applies. Within reason and at the owners’ discretion

• Less than 24 hours or same-day cancellations: 100% of the scheduled service fee applies. Permanent cancellation of ongoing services requires a minimum of two (2) weeks’ notice. Where insufficient notice is provided, cancellation fees will apply.

4. Grace Cancellations

Each client is entitled to two (2) Grace Cancellations per calendar year, limited to one (1) per six-month period. Grace Cancellations allow cancellation or rescheduling without penalty and do not apply to no-access situations or cleaners being turned away on arrival. Exceptions are if there is a death or family emergency.

5. No Access

If our team arrives and cannot access the property due to locked premises, missing keys, alarm issues, or being turned away, the service will be treated as a same-day cancellation and charged 100%.

6. Sickness

If illness occurs within the household, clients must notify KJS Homecare as soon as practicable. Cancellation fees apply based on notice provided and the owners’ discretion. The same goes if any cleaners are sick or their children are sick. Cleans will either be rescheduled or postponed until next clean.

7. Deposits for Big Cleans

End-of-lease, deep cleans, and spring cleans require a 50% non-refundable deposit at the time of booking to secure the service.

All deposits are strictly non-refundable. Bookings may be rescheduled once within fourteen (14) days of the original booking date, subject to availability and at the owners’ discretion.

If the client chooses not to proceed with the service, the deposit will be forfeited and applied toward cancellation costs.

The remaining balance is due on the day of service prior to completion.

Please note: Additional charges may apply if the scope of work increases beyond what was agreed at the time of quotation.

8. Payments

Full payment is due on the day of service unless otherwise agreed in writing.

A non-refundable booking deposit of $70 is required for all bookings made via any platform or over the phone to secure your appointment. This applies to all standard bookings unless otherwise specified and is required to confirm your booking. The booking deposit will be deducted from the final balance owing on the day of service.

In the event of cancellation by the client, the booking deposit will be forfeited and is not transferable to future bookings unless otherwise agreed in writing at the owners’ discretion.

For specialised cleans (including but not limited to deep cleans, end-of-lease cleans, and spring cleans), deposit amounts may vary but are strictly non-refundable and will also be applied toward the final invoice.

KJS Homecare operates a no refund policy. In the event that a client is not satisfied with the service, we will return to rectify any issues, provided they are reported within 24 hours of service completion and at the owners’ discretion.

A $10 late fee applies if payment is not received within 24 hours. Ongoing or future services may be suspended or cancelled until all outstanding balances are paid in full.

9. Pricing

KJS Homecare work on package pricing not hourly rate. Package pricing covers standard inclusions only (i.e. Classic clean, Deep clean, Premium Cleans). Additional services are charged separately based on time and scope. Prices are subject to change with reasonable notice.

10. Quality Guarantee

KJS Homecare guarantees consistent quality cleaning services. Any missed items must be reported within 24 hours of service completion. Refunds are not provided; missed items will be rectified where reasonably practicable.

11. Health & Safety

Clients must ensure a safe working environment, including securing pets, supervising children, and advising of hazards or allergies. Biohazard areas must be pre-cleaned prior to service.

12. Damage & Liability

KJS Homecare is not responsible for damage due to faulty or improper installation of items. Clients must report any damage within two (2) days of service completion. KJS Homecare reserves the right to deny claims made outside this timeframe.

13. Photography

Before-and-after photos may be taken for quality control, record keeping, and security purposes. Photos will only be used for marketing or promotional purposes with prior client consent.

14. GST

All prices are exclusive to GST. GST will only be charged once KJS Homecare is registered and will be clearly itemised on invoices.

15. Acceptance of Terms

By booking or continuing to use KJS Homecare services, the client acknowledges that they have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms & Conditions and the Client Policies & Procedures.
